This month, plating electronic enters a new chapter as Karl Rieder passes leadership of the company on to the next generation: Sebastian, Matthias and Marius Rieder. For Hendor, this is a meaningful moment to reflect on a partnership that began nearly four decades ago and has always gone beyond business alone.

As family businesses, we know that lasting partnerships are built on more than technology, performance or market presence. They are built on shared values, mutual trust and a common way of working together. That is exactly why we would like to take this moment to honour Karl Rieder.

Where the partnership began

The partnership between Hendor and plating electronic started with our former director Henk Bohncke and then Sales Director Rinie Voets on one side, and Karl Rieder together with his business partner and fellow plating electronic founder Konrad Hoch on the other. What began as a business relationship grew into a long-standing international cooperation built on trust, continuity and shared values. 

Learning across generations

Over the years, we expanded in our markets, strengthened our international positions and learned a great deal from one another along the way. What makes this journey especially meaningful is that it spans generations. Over time, the roles of teacher and student shifted back and forth. At one moment, one side shared its experience; at another, the other side brought new insights. That mutual exchange has been one of the great strengths of this partnership and one of the reasons it has remained so valuable over time.

A moment of appreciation

For Hendor, this is therefore not only a moment to look ahead, but also to thank Karl for the role he has played in the relationship between our companies. We would like to honour him for the many years of pleasant cooperation, mutual trust and the shared geographical growth of our businesses in different markets.
